WHY WE MADE THIS

DISCOVERED THROUGH STREETWEAR

Not every important record reaches us through music first. Sometimes the introduction comes through a graphic, a garment, or a collaboration that makes us curious about the culture behind it.

That was our relationship with Public Enemy. We do not claim a personal connection formed when the album was originally released. Public Enemy entered our visual vocabulary after we encountered Supreme’s collaboration with the group—an introduction that eventually led us back to the music, imagery, and uncompromising identity behind the name.

The collaboration did not replace the source. It pointed us toward it.

This article was created from that honest perspective: streetwear functioning as a doorway into music history. Just as Supreme introduced Public Enemy to a different generation, this shirt may become someone else’s first encounter with them.

VINTAGE TEE COLLECTOR

A great music tee can be collected for more than fandom alone. Its value can also live in the composition, cultural context, typography, color separation, and the way its imagery captures a particular era.

Public Enemy already possesses a visual language made for that kind of garment: the crosshair emblem, confrontational headlines, Chuck D’s commanding presence, Flavor Flav’s clock, and the tension between political urgency and theatrical performance.

Where washed black offers the familiar language of a vintage rap tee, the faded-green edition transforms the artwork into something less expected. The color recalls an old field uniform, political archive, or protest object that has survived years of use.

It is not simply a black shirt recolored green. The faded base becomes part of the narrative.

FUTURE VINTAGE

Every archive begins with something that was once new.

The distressed artwork, heavyweight construction, oversized silhouette, and unconventional faded-green colorway were developed to give this article an immediate sense of history without turning it into a replica of an existing vintage shirt.

It begins as our interpretation of a record we discovered through streetwear. With time, wear, and personal history, it can become another collector’s artifact—and perhaps their first doorway into Public Enemy.

THE IDEA

Released in 1988, It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back carries a title that already reads like a declaration. The design translates that force into a double-sided composition built like an aging political poster.

The front is dominated by Public Enemy’s crosshair emblem, enlarged until it becomes both a background and a frame. Portraits cut across the target while the album title stretches over their faces in distressed purple lettering. The words do not sit politely around the image—they interrupt it, forcing the message to compete with the people and symbol beneath it.

The split number blocks and PUBLIC ENEMY wordmark at the bottom complete the composition like a date stamp taken from an old tour poster, newspaper archive, or piece of propaganda.

On the faded-green version, the yellow target, purple headline, deep red lettering, and monochrome portraits sit against a washed moss-colored ground. The unusual base gives the print a military and archival character, while its uneven tonal depth prevents the garment from feeling flat or newly manufactured.

The washed-black colorway keeps the same composition in a more traditional vintage music-tee language. It is darker, more familiar, and lets the aged colors emerge gradually from the fabric.

The back shifts from collective confrontation to individual energy. Flavor Flav appears in an oversized portrait wearing his top hat, glasses, and signature clock. Smaller group imagery is layered into the composition, while REBEL WITHOUT A PAUSE runs across the bottom in oversized distressed lettering.

The clock becomes more than a recognizable accessory. Within the design, it works as an alarm—an image of urgency, pressure, and a voice that refuses to wait quietly for permission.

The front is the manifesto.
The back is the alarm that refuses to stop.

RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

We want every DRU order to arrive in the condition and specification expected. Please review this policy before requesting a return, exchange, or refund.

RETURN ELIGIBILITY

You may request a return within 14 calendar days after your order has been delivered.

To qualify for a return, the item must:

• Be unworn, unused, and unwashed;
• Remain in its original condition;
• Include its original tags and packaging; and
• Be accompanied by proof of purchase or the corresponding order number.

Items returned without prior approval may not be accepted.

Please note that fading, cracking, distressing, abrasions, irregular coloration, burn treatments, and other intentional finishing details are part of the design and character of certain DRU products. These intended variations are not considered manufacturing defects.

HOW TO REQUEST A RETURN

To request a return, contact us at drubasic@gmail.com and include:

• Your full name;
• Order number;
• Item you wish to return;
• Reason for the return; and
• Clear photographs or video when reporting damage, defects, or an incorrect item.

If the return is accepted, we will provide return instructions and the appropriate return address. Do not send an item back before receiving confirmation from us.

DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR INCORRECT ITEMS

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. Contact us promptly if the item is damaged, has a manufacturing defect, or differs from the item ordered.

If our assessment confirms that DRU sent an incorrect or defective item, we will arrange an appropriate replacement, store credit, or refund. Reasonable return shipping costs will be covered by DRU in these cases.

SIZE EXCHANGES

Size exchanges may be requested within 14 calendar days of delivery, subject to stock availability.

Customers are responsible for all shipping costs related to a size exchange unless DRU supplied a size different from the one stated in the order.

Because some releases are produced in limited quantities, we cannot guarantee that the requested replacement size will remain available. If no replacement is available, we may offer store credit or another available resolution.

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

The following items cannot normally be returned:

• Items that have been worn, washed, altered, damaged, or stained after delivery;
• Items without their original tags or packaging;
• Personalized or custom-made products;
• Gift cards;
• Items marked as final sale; and
• Items returned outside the approved return period.

This exclusion does not limit any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

RETURN SHIPPING

Unless the item is confirmed to be defective, damaged upon arrival, or incorrectly supplied by DRU, the customer is responsible for return shipping and any associated costs.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service. DRU is not responsible for return parcels that are lost, damaged, or not delivered to our return address.

International shipping fees, customs duties, import taxes, handling charges, and other government or carrier charges are not refundable by DRU, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

REFUNDS

After the returned item is received and inspected, we will notify you whether the refund has been approved.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow up to 10 business days after approval for the refund to be processed. Your bank or payment provider may require additional time before the funds appear in your account.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

A cancellation request may only be accepted if the order has not entered processing, packing, or shipment.

Once an order has been processed or shipped, it can no longer be cancelled and must follow the return procedure above. Submitting a cancellation request does not guarantee that the order can be stopped.

CONSUMER RIGHTS

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws applicable to the customer.

SHIPPING AND IMPORT DUTIES POLICY

ORDER PROCESSING

Orders are generally processed within 3–7 business days after payment has been successfully confirmed.

Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays, Indonesian public holidays, and any temporary closure period announced by DRU.

Pre-order, made-to-order, or special-release products may require a longer processing period. When applicable, the estimated processing period will be stated on the relevant product page or communicated separately.

Processing time is separate from the carrier’s estimated delivery time.

SHIPPING WITHIN INDONESIA

DRU provides a domestic shipping subsidy of up to IDR 35,000 per eligible order.

If the available shipping rate is IDR 35,000 or less, the order may qualify for free shipping. If the shipping rate exceeds IDR 35,000, the customer is responsible for the remaining amount displayed at checkout.

Shipping availability, rates, and estimated delivery times depend on the destination, package weight, and courier coverage.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Complimentary standard international shipping is available for eligible countries and regions currently supported at checkout.

International orders may be shipped through POS Indonesia, Rayspeed, or another appropriate delivery partner. DRU reserves the right to select the carrier and service based on the destination, package requirements, availability, cost, and expected delivery performance.

Free international shipping covers the transportation charge selected by DRU. It does not include import duties, taxes, customs clearance fees, brokerage fees, storage fees, or other charges imposed after the parcel reaches its destination country.

DELIVERY ESTIMATES

Delivery estimates shown at checkout or communicated after shipment are estimates only and are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Delivery may be affected by:

• Customs inspections and clearance;
• Local carrier operations;
• Public holidays;
• Severe weather or natural events;
• Incorrect or incomplete delivery information;
• Remote-area delivery limitations; or
• Other circumstances beyond DRU’s reasonable control.

A delay caused by a carrier or customs authority does not automatically qualify an order for cancellation or refund.

CUSTOMS, IMPORT DUTIES, AND TAXES

International orders are generally shipped with import duties and taxes unpaid unless checkout expressly states otherwise.

The recipient is responsible for determining and paying any import duties, taxes, customs fees, brokerage charges, or other government charges imposed by the destination country.

Customs regulations vary by country. DRU cannot predict or guarantee the amount that may be charged. Customers should contact their local customs authority before ordering if they require further information.

Free shipping does not mean that an order is free from import duties or local taxes.

REFUSED OR UNCLAIMED INTERNATIONAL PARCELS

If a customer refuses delivery, fails to pay required import charges, provides an incorrect address, or does not collect a parcel, the shipment may be abandoned, destroyed, or returned to DRU.

Where a parcel is returned, any return shipping fees, duties, taxes, storage charges, carrier fees, and related costs may be deducted from any refund permitted under applicable law.

A refund cannot be guaranteed if the carrier or customs authority abandons or destroys the parcel.

ADDRESS ACCURACY

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address, recipient name, postal code, email address, and telephone number.

Contact drubasic@gmail.com immediately if an address needs to be corrected. Address changes cannot be guaranteed after an order has entered processing or shipment.

DRU is not responsible for additional costs or delivery failures resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information supplied by the customer.

TRACKING

When tracking is available, tracking information will be sent to the email address associated with the order.

Tracking updates are provided by the carrier and may take time to appear after dispatch.

LOST OR DAMAGED SHIPMENTS

If tracking shows that a parcel has not moved for an unusual period, or if the parcel arrives visibly damaged, contact drubasic@gmail.com with your order number and supporting photographs or video.

DRU will assist with the carrier investigation where possible. A replacement or refund will only be issued after reviewing the circumstances and, where applicable, receiving confirmation from the carrier.
